The Mamisa String Quartet has established itself as one of Ireland’s most sought after quartets on the commercial scene.
Our years of experience has seen us cover all genres of entertainment on tv shows and radio, in recording studios and theatres, including musical theatre, stage shows and festivals.
We have had the honour of performing with renowned artists including Michael Bublé, Ed Sheeran, George Michael, Cliff Richard, Ellie Goulding, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Paddy Casey, Gavin James, Enrique Iglesias, Daniel O’Donnell and Nathan Carter, to name but a few. We have also been engaged by numerous bands such as The Corona’s, Westlife, The Celtic Tenors and toured with Boyzone on their Ireland and UK Arena Tour.
We love music festivals and have played at some of the most prolific festivals including Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Live at the Marquee, Oxegen, Tradfest, Proms on the Pier and have appeared on the MTV Music Awards, Meteor Awards and Childline Concerts.
The recording studio is one of our favourite places to be and we have had the privilege of contributing to many albums over the years, arranging string parts, collaborating and playing on albums by Paddy Casey, Tommy Fleming, Eimear Quinn and the Grammy nominated album by Extreme Rhythm, ‘Saturn Shadow’.
In tandem with being the coordinator of the Mamisa String Quartet, Michelle has worked for many years as a fixer and has vast experience in booking players for artists including; Michael Bublé, Paddy Casey, Phil Coulter, Tommy Fleming and many more.
